New Muslims in Dallas–Fort Worth

North Texas has the widest choice of new-Muslim programs in the state, and they are genuinely different from one another: a welcome-and-mentorship desk, a weekly neighbourhood circle led by converts, a six-month structured course, and a center-based program that names emotional and family support as part of its work. Trying two is normal.

Pathways — Converts Corner, Plano Masjid

Plano Masjid, the Islamic Association of Collin County, runs Pathways for people entering Islam. Its page lists guidance and mentorship, Shahada certificates, and a welcome bag containing a prayer mat and guide, an English or Spanish translation of the Qur’an, and educational materials. It also lists connections into the wider DFW community, salah and fasting workshops, social gatherings, and support from the imam and resident scholar. Contact: pathways@planomasjid.org. [1]

Embrace DFW — ICNA Dallas

ICNA Dallas runs Embrace, whose current public program is weekly Convert Neighbor Nets — Euless on Tuesdays and Richardson on Wednesdays — led by convert imams, with a potluck in the third week of each month. It also runs eight-week Islam 101 classes covering core beliefs, purification and prayer, and describes teaching from a convert and American context so that cultural assumptions are not mistaken for the religion. MAS Dallas: Growing in Islam

MAS Dallas publishes a comprehensive in-person new Muslim education and mentorship program, reachable at outreach@masdfw.org. Its recurring Growing in Islam program runs Fridays from 7 to 9 PM; Phase II begins September 11, 2026, and is a six-month phase of support, mentorship and guided learning led by Imam Saeed Purcell with guest instructors. Islamic Center of Frisco

The Islamic Center of Frisco lists personalised guidance through the conversion process, educational resources and classes, support groups, mentorship, emotional and spiritual support after conversion, prayer and ritual support, and family and social support. EPIC Outreach Committee

The East Plano Islamic Center’s outreach committee page lists Islam 101 courses and says the committee assists new converts with the basics of faith and practice and with social needs. The center’s address on its own site is 4700 14th Street, Plano, TX 75074. [6]

If you want a named mentor and a welcome pack, start with Pathways. If you want other converts in the room, start with Embrace. If you want a syllabus with a start date, start with Growing in Islam. If family conversations are the hardest part, Frisco names that support explicitly.
