Associations

  • Houston · Association

    Islamic Society of Greater Houston

    Also known as ISGH

An umbrella body that operates a network of Islamic centers across the Houston area and describes religious, educational and social services on its own site. Its About page gives 1969 as the year it was established. Different pages of the site give different centre totals, so no total is stated here until the operator's own figures agree.

  • Richardson · Association

    Islamic Association of North Texas

    Also known as IANT

A North Texas association based on Abrams Road in Richardson. Its own site describes worship, outreach including visitor tours, a clinic and educational programs, and its contact page refers to the main building as the IANT Masjid.

  • El Paso · Association

    Islamic Center of El Paso

    Also known as ICEP

El Paso's Islamic center, which dates its own beginnings to a rented house downtown in the 1980s and describes moving to its Paragon Lane building in 2004. Educational programs share the Paragon Lane address; they are programs at this center, not separate mosques.

  • McAllen · Association

    Islamic Society of South Texas

Also known as ISST, ISST McAllen

A McAllen association whose own pages describe a mosque with a multipurpose hall and youth activities, and name the prayer space Masjid Umar Al-Farooq. It is a separate body from the similarly named organization in Corpus Christi.

  • Edinburg · Association

    Alkhair Islamic Society of RGV

Also known as Alkhair Islamic Society of the Rio Grande Valley

An Edinburg association that states on its operator-hosted page that it was established in 2005. A surviving 2018 event calendar records Ramadan potlucks, Qur'an classes and sports; it is a historical record, not a current schedule.

Mosques with full profiles

  • Houston · Mosque

    Masjid Bilal

Also listed as Adel Road Islamic Center

A mosque on Adel Road in north Houston, listed by the Islamic Society of Greater Houston among the centers it operates, with Jummah and a separately linked center website. ISGH's listing is an operator statement; property ownership is not inferred.

11815 Adel Road, Houston TX 77067

  • Spring · Mosque

    Masjid Al-Salam

Also listed as Champions Islamic Center

A mosque on Old Louetta Road in Spring, listed by the Islamic Society of Greater Houston among the centers it operates, with Jummah. ISGH's school listing places Houston Peace Academy at the same address; the school is a separate record because its function differs.

16700 Old Louetta Rd, Spring TX 77379

  • Sugar Land · Mosque

    Masjid Maryam

Also listed as New Territory Islamic Center

A mosque on Sartartia Road in Sugar Land, listed by the Islamic Society of Greater Houston among the centers it operates. Its official site says it was founded in 2003.

504 Sartartia Road, Sugar Land TX 77479

  • Houston · Community center

    Eastside Main Center

Also listed as River Oaks Islamic Center

A center used for worship on Eastside Street in Houston, listed by the Islamic Society of Greater Houston with Jummah. ISGH also publishes this address for its administrative office, which is kept here as a separate organizational record.

3110 Eastside Street, Houston TX 77098

  • Richardson · Mosque

    IANT Masjid

Also listed as Islamic Association of North Texas Masjid

The main building of the Islamic Association of North Texas on Abrams Road in Richardson. The association's contact page refers to it as the IANT Masjid; it is the same address as the association's own listing, recorded here as one place, not two mosques. The association describes worship, visitor outreach, a charity medical clinic and its K–12 Quranic academy at this campus.

840 Abrams Road, Richardson TX 75081

  • El Paso · Community center

    Islamic Center of El Paso

The center's building on Paragon Lane, which its own history says it moved into in 2004. Education programs listed at the same address are programs here, recorded as one place rather than several. Its published janazah guidance names a cemetery relationship with Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, New Mexico — that is a partner cemetery across the state line, not an on-site Texas cemetery. Confirm iqamah with the center rather than a calculated timetable.

143 Paragon Lane, El Paso TX 79912

  • McAllen · Mosque

    Masjid Umar Al-Farooq

Also listed as Masjid Omar Al-Farooq, Islamic Society of South Texas mosque

The mosque operated by the Islamic Society of South Texas on North Ware Road in McAllen. The society's contact page gives this address and names the prayer space; the mosque and the association are recorded here as one place and one organization. The name is also spelled Masjid Omar Al-Farooq — one mosque under two transliterations, not two locations.

2008 North Ware Road, McAllen TX 78501

  • Edinburg · Community center

    Alkhair Islamic Society of RGV

The society's building on Elsham Avenue in Edinburg, listed with this address and phone number on its operator-hosted page, whose published mission spans congregational worship, festivals, education, charity, cultural programming and interfaith relations. The association and its masjid are one campus. Confirm the day's schedule with the center before travelling.

1910 Elsham Avenue, Edinburg TX 78539
