Method and limits
Calculated prayer times using the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) method. Local mosque iqamah and adjusted schedules may differ; verify congregation times with your mosque.
These are calculated times — the astronomical windows for each prayer — and not iqamah times, which are when a congregation actually stands to pray. Mosques commonly set iqamah several minutes after the calculated time, and adjust it through the year. The standard Asr school is used here; communities following the Hanafi position on Asr will see a later time than the one shown.
Times are calculated by the AlAdhan prayer times API, using calculation method 2 (ISNA). For Houston, the ISGH prayer schedule publishes its own monthly timetable and states the same ISNA calculation method; ISGH does not produce the statewide times on this page.
