Separate proceedings, separate questions
One development can generate several legally distinct proceedings. An agency investigation, a municipal utility district injunction, a fair-housing approval dispute and an appeal do not have interchangeable effects. Each event below names the issuing body, date, document type and the limited question it addresses. The announcements are from parties to these disputes, not neutral court judgments, and none is a finding of guilt. This table does not state a final outcome; the latest verified record here is dated May 4, 2026.

2025: announced investigations and legislation
- March 25 — Attorney General consumer-protection civil investigative demand. Investigation announced; no finding stated here. [1]

- March 28 — Governor announced a Texas Workforce Commission fair-housing investigation. [3]
- March 31 — Governor directed the Texas Rangers to open a criminal investigation. [4]
- April 1 — Governor announced a TCEQ authorization and permit issue affecting construction. [5]
- HB 4211 was enacted in 2025. Its enrolled text governs specified business-entity-owned residential arrangements, disclosures, dispute forums and Fair Housing Act provisions. [6]
