Islamic Association of North Texas

Also known as IANT

A North Texas association based on Abrams Road in Richardson. Its own site describes worship, outreach including visitor tours, a clinic and educational programs, and its contact page refers to the main building as the IANT Masjid.

Islamic Association of North Texas: History, Education and Community Services

The Richardson institution’s public record includes more than its prayer hall.

The Islamic Association of North Texas dates its founding to 1969 in its institutional account. Its Richardson mosque is a recognizable place, but the organization’s own material describes a wider combination of religious, educational and community services. Reading those services individually is more useful than treating the building as a promise that every need can be met there.

Different services, different arrangements

IANT’s services page describes youth programming, continuing religious education and other assistance. It also draws an important distinction in funeral support: the association offers janazah prayers and can recommend licensed funeral providers, but says it does not offer other funerary services. That boundary should remain visible to a family using a directory at a difficult time.

The clinic account describes a volunteer medical service dating to November 2000, with appointments and access for Muslims and non-Muslims. Our community-clinic guide links readers to the provider rather than implying that a visitor can arrive without checking arrangements. The 2009 photograph on this page shows the mosque exterior, not a treatment space or a current clinic session.

A North Texas reference point

The Dallas–Fort Worth Atlas places IANT alongside other documented institutions. The historical timeline separates the association’s founding from later services, while the regional comparison explains why an association and its individual locations should not be counted as equivalent units.

Use the official contact and program links below for the latest practical information. Neither the source’s own promotional language nor a photograph establishes a largest-in-the-region claim, and this profile does not make one.
