Islamic School Tuition in Texas: Read Beyond the Annual Fee

One verified 2026–27 fee schedule shows why tuition, materials and household charges need to stay separate when families compare schools.

A school’s annual tuition figure is the beginning of a budget, not necessarily its total. Families also need to know which fees recur, which apply only on admission, and which are charged once per household rather than once per child. Those distinctions are easy to lose when a search result compresses a school into a single price.

The Islamic School of Irving’s published 2026–27 schedule provides a concrete example. The table below reproduces selected annual tuition and Resource, Books and Material charges, then adds those two components. It does not represent every charge a family might owe, and one school’s schedule cannot establish an average for Texas Islamic schools.

Four grade-band examples

Grade band — Tuition + RBM only
Grade bandAnnual tuitionRBM feeTuition + RBM only
Full-time pre-K$7,525$500$8,025
Kindergarten–grade 5$6,950$500$7,450
Grades 6–8$7,295$550$7,845
Grades 9–12$7,590$650$8,240

The same document lists a $250 application/testing fee, $150 admission fee and $1,000 new-family fee for new enrollment, with the last charge applying per family. It also contains re-enrollment rules and additional expenses. Read the original schedule for the situation that applies to your household; the subtotal above deliberately leaves those other components outside its calculation.

Compare the same thing

A useful comparison starts with an academic year and a grade level. After that, ask whether materials are included, how admission charges work, and which costs change when another child enrolls. A monthly daycare rate should not be treated as an annual school-year price without knowing the billing period. A blank or to-be-determined charge is not zero.

The comparison should also preserve the school’s actual educational model. Al-Hadi describes both academic and religious study, and its facility account includes learning, recreation and prayer spaces. That is context for evaluating a school, not a reason to assume its fee structure matches another institution’s. The historical Houston photograph on this page illustrates that educational setting; it is not a photograph of the Irving campus.

A worksheet, not a statewide price claim

Before making a decision, request a written estimate for the relevant year, grades and number of children. Keep annual tuition, per-student charges, per-family charges and optional expenses in separate lines. Ask the school directly about assistance, discounts, payment timing and any nonrefundable amounts rather than relying on an old third-party listing.

The Texas Muslim school directory helps readers find the institutions themselves. More schools can be added when comparable current schedules are verified; multiplying unverified prices would make the table look larger while making it less useful.
