How this section works
Nobody here will push you toward the Shahada, and nobody expects you to arrive knowing prayer, Arabic, Islamic law, or a new name. Converts are adults looking for resources, not projects for institutions to manage, and this section is written on that assumption.
Where a question is genuinely disputed — a marriage, a contract, a family obligation, a missed fast — you will be pointed to a named imam, scholar or institution rather than given a ruling by a publication. Where something is culture rather than religion, the page says so. And the practical refrain throughout: you do not have to learn Islam by Tuesday.
